Fresh Fish for the Quake
This Osprey had just caught a fish and landed on the pole next to my parked car near Savannah. While I photographed it, my car began to rock back and forth due to the earthquake in Canada on Friday morning.

Baltimore Oriole
They say orioles are easy birds to attract with fruit and nectar feeders, but this is only my 2nd year in the last 11 I've seen them at my feeders in Ontario. Perhaps they've yet to really settle in. Such a fiery orange, would love to have them stick around!

Gimme a Hand
MA senior long-stick midfielder, Brody Bentley tries a little slight-of-hand magic during last night's contest at Bloomfield-Honeoye. Bentley's ground ball play was a major contributor in Mynderse Academy's 13-4 victory over the Pride.
The Blue Devils ended the regular season with 11 wins and 4 losses.

Bugging Out
Senior MA attackman, Justin Hylwa is swarmed by a cloud of Bloomfield-Honeoye defenders during last night's game. Blue Devil points leader, Hylwa had a big night, stinging the Pride for 3 goals and 5 assists. Mynderse Academy went on to down host B-H by a tally of 13-4 to end their regular season.

Flying High
Bugs the size of fruit bats weren't the only thing in the air at Bloomfield-Honeoye last night. Here, senior goalie, Tim Trickler takes flight to block a B-H shot on net. Trickler prevented the score, and went on to record an eleven save performance. Mynderse Academy defeated the host Pride 13-4 on a beautiful, if nature infested May evening.

Downed in the Valley
Mynderse Academy senior midfielder, Aaron Peterman dodges Bloomfield-Honeoye defenders, and a cloud of evening mayflies, to score one of his four goals for the evening. He also added an assist, as the Blue Devils defeated the host Pride 13-4, to close out the regular season with a road win.

Geneva Seniors Honored
In a act of good sportsmanship the Geneva Panthers varsity girls senior lacrosse players were honored before the Newark game at Newark. Seniors honored were Morgan Racicot, Ali Turner, Allisia Griffin and Bethany Jolly.

Geneva Girls Lax Wins
The Geneva Panthers picked up a 16-4 win over the Newark Reds in Varsity lacrosse action last night at Newark. Geneva's Morgan Raciot seen in action scored four goals along with teammate Ali Turner in the win. Geneva improved to 12-2 on the year while Newark dropped to 2-12.

Deal on the Line
Mynderse Academy senior defender, Jamison Deal pushes back on an Indian attacker during yesterday's Senior Night game at Waterloo. Deal, and his fellow Blue Devil defenders, helped keep the game up for grabs until the closing seconds. Waterloo ultimately prevailed 6-5 in a battle of traditional local adversaries.

The South Seneca Lady Falcons defeated Honeoye on Monday night with a 9-8 ending score that included a home run from Erin Wilkins, and winning hit by Holly Reynolds. Varsity pitcher, Anna Dickens held the mound with 8 strikeouts. Good Luck in sectional Girls!

Separating the Issue
Mynderse Academy senior, Mike Millis dislodges the ball from his Waterloo opponent. Millis and his defensive mates played one of their best games of the year, keeping it close to the end. But, the Blue Devils ended up one tally short, as they fell to the Indians 6-5 on Waterloo Senior Night on Tuesday. Millis also filled in for Aaron Peterman at midfield.

Mynderse senior (and league leading) goalie, Tim Trickler adds another one to the record books. Trickler and his fellow Blue Devils played a great game to keep the outcome in question until the very end. But, host Waterloo had just enough extra to win the rematch late, 6-5 on their Senior Night on Tuesday.
